Race Day Info

RI1 Race Format

Racing consists of six tests, three in each format. Tests are approx. 8-15 minutes in duration

Course direction could optionally be reversed on second and/or third tests, depending on weather and conditions. Kid’s classes may have a modified course

Cross test- consists of natural obstacles, grass track, motocross track with the portions being ribboned off where required to aid in defining the course

Enduro test- consists of defined single track trail, grass track and enduro obstacles. Some portions may be ribboned off where natural barriers do not define the track.

Racers must remain in the confines of the race course at all times during competition.

The course cutting penalty will be the addition of 1 minute to that rider’s time.

In the event that a racer accidentally leaves the course, they must return to the track as closely as practical to the point where exit was made. This must be done in a safe manor without gaining any time advantage.

RI2 Race Order

SUBJECT TO CHANGE – We do our best to be consistent but we can make adjustments to make the day run smoother to provide the racing experience that our customers expect!

RI3 Staging and Starts

The staging area is a dead engine zone. This will help facilitate race organizers communicating with riders

Racers will stage in rows according to their classes, and must be in their row a minimum of 5 minutes before that class is scheduled to go

Any rider arriving one minute or more after the last rider in their class starts could be assessed a 1 minute penalty or may be denied that test, if next class is in line to start

Race officials will call each rider to line up at start line

Each bike lines up to start line, engine running, in gear

When the clock counts off the 15 seconds you begin your test

Starts are from a standstill, no rolling allowed

The next rider in line will wait 15 seconds, then begin their test, and so on for each class.

After completing the first test, you will line up with your class to complete the remaining tests.

Starting out of order,or rolling the start will result in a 1 minute penalty.

RI4 Timing and Scoring

Transponders with adhesive backs will be placed on the front number plate. These are obtained at sign in.

Your transponder will be read when you leave the start and again when you finish

All 6 test times will be added to determine your overall time.

Shortest overall time wins!

Class schedules will be discussed at rider’s meeting
